Togo Snowmobile Derby & Irondog Vintage Derby

Posted By on January 5, 2015

The Togo Centennial Committee is pleased to announce that we will be hosting two snowmobile derbies this year!  Our regular and renowned  Togo Snowmobile Derby and the Vintage Derby originally held in Makaroff MB.

Just like previous years, there will be a pancake breakfast served from 8am to 11am.  A lunch menu will be available at the arena, which is the Togo Snowmobile Derby halfway point.  Registration will be in the arena, although the Snowmobile Derby and the Vintage Derby will have separate ‘pots’.  The Raffle Table will be on display, with draws made early in the afternoon.  Please return to the Arena to claim your prize from either the Snowmobile Derby Hands, The Vintage Hands, Silent Hands, or Raffle Table.  Premium fuel will be available at the Arena.  Quantities will be limited.

The Togo Snowmobile Derby will start in Togo, head north to Boomerang Lake, loop back down to Togo totally 50 kms in the first half. The second half will continue south of Togo, loop around into some pretty valley scenery, and end in Togo again. The whole trail will total over 80kms.

There are a few changes to the Irondog Vintage Derby.  The trail will start and end in Togo.  The first and last stretch will be on the same trail, so there is a small window for registration in order to keep the trail to one-way traffic.  Riders must leave by The halfway point will still be at the RSA’s Irondog Inn.  Hotdogs will be available for $2 and a drink of your choice (coffee or pop) for $1.  The halfway house will be toasty warm and we will have a bonfire going outside for cooking the hotdogs.  The trail has changed quite a bit, adding on over six miles, making the trail thirty miles long.  If this is too long for you, there is a shortcut option.
